To celebrate Papa's big birthday, we first met at Spring Creek BBQ for dinner before heading to M&S's house.

There we enjoyed birthday cake and good fellowship.

Katie performed a birthday rap for Papa.

It was a big hit!

Brett read an essay about his dad,

and Scott and others shared stories, too.

The only family member missing was Chris, who's in Japan.

Fortunately, he was able to wish Papa a happy birthday thanks to Skype.

It was great to see him, even if it was only on the iPhone screen.

It was a memorable night, made fun with family and sweet with stories. It was especially nice for everyone to say aloud what we've always known: Our Papa is an amazing man.
