The last thing I made (besides promises, our bed or my way to school) would be a giant cupcake. You know, as in...

Of course, this creation came courtesy of Katie's imagination and persuasive powers. She saw the commercial a while ago, and it was at her urging that the box jumped into our Walmart cart Saturday morning.

Turns out we didn't have any frosting besides the green holiday kind we'd bought that morning, so our giant cupcake took the form of a Christmas tree. We used the filling insert, but since we only had one box of cake mix, the cavity wasn't as large as we would've hoped.

Next on my creative agenda will be our holiday card. I say "holiday" not out of political correctness but because it could be New Year's before I manage to create and mail the suckers. But get me out of school and watch me goooooooooooooooo!
