Between spring break '07 and the start of this school year, I lost 38 pounds. Since August, though, my weight's pretty much stayed the same. I've been happy with that, especially considering all the tailgating and birthdays and holidays that have come and gone. In low-carb land, there's talk of finding your equilibrium, the quantity of carbs you can eat while maintaining your weight. Well, I've found my equilibrium! I've managed to find the combination of diet and exercise to keep from gaining the weight back. But you're supposed to find your equilibrium AFTER you've met your goal. I'm not even close to that number! I can no longer be content with maintenance.
As of today, I have reset my weight loss counter. I want to lose 40 pounds from THIS point. I'm hoping that "zero-ing out" will help me reset my motivation, restart my determination and renew my enthusiasm. And I'm hoping that blogging about this will keep me accountable to all five of you who read this blog!
So here goes!

You can do it! You have done so great so far and you look fantastic! It will be easier now that the holidays are over. Just add some Wii boxing to your routine - I am so sore
See-Dub this will be a piece of cake for you. Oh, maybe I should I used another term. I know you can do it. I'm so proud of you for the 38 pounds you have already lost. Maintaining is the hard part and you've done that. I know of a real good weight loss group where you can lose weight and gain money. You can join anytime. You can do this!
Not that I am any help whatsoever, especially at the rate I'm putting on the pounds, but I want you to know you have my admiration & support!
You're doing great!
