After a long week at school and work, we were in the mood to flap our wings and shake our tail feathers. So off to Edelweiss we went! We feasted on German food and danced the chicken dance for our Friday outing this week.
Katie and Ryan are big fans of the chicken dance:
Brett and I loved the brat, knackwurst and weisswurst (didn't we HAVE to order that?), and as always, we raved about the sauerkraut and red cabbage:
Meanwhile, Katie ate a big bowl of Spaghetti Edelweiss:
...and Ryan had (surprise, surprise) CHICKEN STRIPS!Any trip to Edelweiss is a big event for us, and even though we didn't have a specific occasion to celebrate, our dinner and dancing made this Friday special!

Fun. Where is this place?
So do you have any finger nails left or did you chew them all off during the last 2 minutes of the UT game?
Hey, a win is a win!

Jennifer,
Edelweiss is in southwest Fort Worth on Southwest Boulevard. You take Camp Bowie to that crazy traffic circle to get there. Their info is at this link.
Wade,
I'm still scratching my head over that two-point conversion attempt. Why did Mack do that when we're up by 11? At least UCF didn't get a chance to kick the tying field goal. Who would've thought our ability to recover onsides kicks would be the key to our 3-0 record?
I expect close games against the OUs and Nebraskas of the world, but my heart can't take close ones with these "easy" teams!
That looks like a great place! We should try it, but Bryce would hold his ears the entire time we were in there, I'm sure!
That looks like fun! I have never heard of that place. Why did you not dance the chicken dance?
Tammie,
You're right: It's super loud there!
Jenna,
I DID dance the chicken dance the first time the band played it, but the second time, I just had to get pictures!
